I am going to Parks and Rec to lobby to have more travel organizations allowed to host tournaments. One of the arguments against this is that no one will play in a non-usssa event. To counter this, I would like to take a list of teams that will commit to playing in a non-usssa event, such as BPA or Grandslam. Can you send me the email address of any travel teams so that I can ask their interest? Send to ssumrall@mcgriff.com
Shane, I sent you an e-mail. I agree with you. I think there are some nice parks that USSSA does not have a stranglehold on. Getting Alabaster and Cullman might be an uphill battle, but teams may be getting tired of playing at the same places over and over anyway.
Why would any municipal entity rent to only one organization? Wouldn't this raise a lot of questions?

Shane, I am the Assistant Athletic Director for City of Anniston. We are looking to host more travel ball events that are not associated with USSSA. If you have any interest in hosting a tournament with us please contact me at woodland_park@bellsouth.net. Our baseball fields are located on McClellan (this is on the property of the old military base Fort McClellan).
